Platero and I is based on the prose poem of the same title at the Nobel Prize in Literature, but de La Martha's composer has a clear reference to the text. The Tedesco version uses a method in which the prose poem itself is read and read, but the de la Martha version succeeds in expressing a poetic worldview using only the sound of the guitar.
There is also a sound world that can only be expressed with a guitar alone, such as Trova's "Characteristic small pieces" that makes you feel the dry air of the Castile region of Spain, and "Lightless practice songs" depicting the image of Segovia's mental scenery. The interludes of Tarrega's small pieces will clearly show the change in classical guitar writing from romantic to modern. In this album, it has a strong meaning as a bridge between the works of De La Martha and Trouba.
