Recorded in 1981 for the Negus Roots label, Voice of Progress' 'Mini Bus Driver' is one of the more significant reggae albums of the 1980s. Featuring three talented Waterhouse youths: a fifteen-year old Junior Reid, Sammy Tracy, and Terry McDermott, Voice of Progress had a modest hit with the title track "Mini Bus Driver." This is the vocal trio's only studio album. Junior Reid would later take the lead in Black Uhuru at the young age of eighteen before pursuing one of the most successful solo careers in the business. The album is chock full of heavy roots headbangers including "Mini Bus Driver," "Shadows After Dark," "Working On A Site," "If I," "Can't Take The Gun," and "Give Thanks." Recorded at Channel One and Tuff Gong, and engineered by Bunny Tom Tom and Errol Brown, the players of instruments include Sly Dunbar, Robbie Shakespeare, Dougie Bryan, Ranchie McLean, and Ansel Collins
