Active mainly in the field of soundtracks and easy listening, he began his career by being involved in the recording of the soundtrack of the film Death in Venice by Luchino Visconti. Later Roman Polański, for whom he wrote the music of the film Che ?, presented it to Andy Warhol for whom he composed the soundtracks of the two Italian horror films directed by Antonio Margheriti and Paul Morrissey The monster is on the table ... In the seventies he gained a certain celebrity as an easy listening musician with the pseudonym of Jean-Pierre Posit, in particular with the singles J'aime and Le vent de amour.

In 1978, together with Romano Musumarra, he founded the duo Automat, with whom he made an Automat album of cosmic electronic music, with the collaboration of Mario Maggi, creator of the MCS70 synthesizer.
