Composers
Mozart, Wolfgang Amadeus (1756-91)

An absolute masterpiece in the history of music, intrinsically linked to the Mozart myth, Mozart’s Requiem is revisited under the energetic baton of director Teodor Currentzis with the excellent Siberian choir and orchestra MusicAeterna. A fascinating, striking interpretation, reinforced by a remarkable distribution of soloists: Simone Kermes, Stéphanie Houtzel, Markus Brutscher and Arnaud Richard. Thanks to optimal recording conditions (7 days of studio recording) led by Hugues Deschaux (responsible for recording Le Poème Harmonique, Café Zimmermann…), the interpretation is enriched by the particular care with which the sound was recorded.

After the success of his Dido & Aeneas (ALPHA140) and Shostakovich Symphony No. 14 (ALPHA159), Currentzis is back with a marvellous repertoire: Mozart’s Requiem.

‘If his narcissism doesn't get the better of him, Currentzis could be one of those rare artists capable of shifting the ground of his chosen art, and pulling off something extraordinary - perhaps even miraculous.’

My best Mozart's Requiem but
can anyone explain why Bells are on track 08 (Lacrimosa & Amen Fugue-fragment) ?

I checked Amen Fuge-fragment on internet.
Original is 16 bars, about 25 seconds (Lacrimasa's fragment is 8 bars, about 50 seconds).
Many musicologists think this Amen Fugue is for Lacrimosa.
Original Amen Fuge-fragmet is here and on Christoph Spering.
Arrangement by Duncan Druce is on Roger Norrington, arrangement by Richard Maunder is on Christopher Hogwood, arrangement by Robert Levin is on Martin Pearlman etc.
Robbins Landon version has no Amen Fugue.

By the way someone has Christoph Spering's album (Süssmayr Version) where all requiem's fragments are as appendix and which CDRips are on other sites but links are down now ?
Thanks

I assume this is the Süssmayr completion.

@olga1001, I don't have the Spering, but I have Stephen Cleobury's Requiem Realisations, which is similar, and can be found here: http://meetinginmusic.blogspot.co.uk/2017/05/mozart-requiem-realisations-cleoburyaam.html

Yes, this is Süssmayr + Amen Fugue-fragment + something (col legno track03,09 etc).
