In 2004 she had started a series of concerts called "Complete Works of Fryderyk Chopin". The concerts took place annually at the Museum of Ancient Mazovian Metallurgy in Pruszków on the anniversaries of composer's birth and death (1 March and 17 October respectively).
Since 2005 the artist also started performing a night concert every year to commemorate the date and time of Fryderyk Chopin's death in Paris on 17 October, 1849 at 2:00 am.
By October 2009 Kayo Nishimizu had performed all of Chopin's works for solo piano.
In 2010 and 2011 the pianist performed the lesser known works of Fryderyk Chopin, such as songs and chamber music. She also performed pieces for piano and orchestra, including Piano Concertos in F minor and E minor.
The year 2005 saw the pianist receive the Pruszków Mayor Award "Urbs Nova" in the culture category for the artistic activity in Pruszków with particular consideration given to the performance of the "Complete Works of Fryderyk Chopin" concert series.
Since 2010 the artist organizes a lot of school lectures every year, in which she combines music with narrative and multimedia presentation. Attention to the development of musical culture and teaching young people the need of listening to classical music and the skill of understanding it are the main objectives of the pianist's broadly understood educational activity.
Kayo Nishimizu is currently working on an album series called “Chopin’s music & stories”. The first record entitled “Poland – love and grief” was released in November 2012, the second record, “24 Preludes – the world of imagination” in April 2013, the third, “The dances – fun and nostalgia” in September 2013, the fourth “Improvisations – variations – fantasies” in May 2014, the “ZERO” “Why do the Japanese people love Chopin so much?” in September 2014 andthe fifth“24 Etudes – philosophy of Chopin”is scheduled for recording in January 2015.
The pianist supports and takes active part in organizing various concerts and events for the promotion of arts and integration of various cultures. She is involved in many activities not only as a pianist and piano educator but also as a translator and teacher of Japanese and as the mother of four children.
