No need to be a specialist to appreciate a bird song, to be surprised by a phrase from a blackbird or a nightingale. Nature opens our ears, it is a royal way to access the most incredible music. First companion of this nature that surrounds us, the bird free of all aesthetics is music in the wild.
Our musical creation goes back to the sources of these songs of birds of all kinds, but also works of composers who were inspired by them, by decomposing / recomposing them freely.
For this creation, a new orchestra, brings together six musicians composers and mprovisers: the trio of the Collectif La Forge: François Raulin (piano, m'bira), Pascal Berne (double bass), Michel Mandel (clarinets), and three guest musicians: Bernard Fort (electroacoustician, ornithologist), Guillaume Roy (viola), Jean-Marc Quillet (percussion, accordion).
Bernard Fort is a partner on stage for his spatialization work and creation of electroacoustician; Guillaume Roy for his talents as an improviser and his knowledge of 20th century music; Jean-Marc Quillet for his playful and extraordinary virtuosity, and for his knowledge of classical, jazz and contemporary percussion. This new sextet is structured for the sake of orchestral coherence and openness to a sound palette with very varied contemporary colors, in original compositions as well as in improvisation.
