Xavier Desandre Navarre - In-Pulse 2 (2020)

Following his album In-Pulse, Xavier Desandre Navarre gives us in this In-Pulse 2 a high quality jazz and rich in emotions. Xavier Desandre Navarre's compositions evoke a world where borders and distances seem to be abolished.

For him, "Jazz is a melting pot where all musical influences and impressions can meet." The cover, joyful and colorful, of this disc is a reflection of the music it offers. A flourishing, generous and refined music, creating landscapes and panoramas, tinged with energy and light.

In this second quartet opus, composed of the same line-up as the previous album, Stéphane Guillaume on saxophones and bass clarinet, Stéphane Kerecki on double bass and Emil Spanyi on piano, we find the materials dear to Xavier Desandre Navarre, a mixture ethnic percussion, subtle grooves and neat melodies. A very beautiful place is made at the moments of free improvisation signed by the musicians, giving free rein to common daydreams and placed between more written pieces.
