Woody Herman - Volume II (1976/2019) Hi Res

Although it states: "Guest Artists: Charlie Byrd and Tito Puente," Byrd's acoustic guitar is only heard on "Summer Sequence," an excellent 13-minute performance of Ralph Burns's famous work. The remainder of this budget LP has eight of the 12 selections available elsewhere on Herman's Heat & Puente's Beat; Tito Puente's rhythm section appears on six of those spirited numbers. Since the music is readily available, this LP (which has meaningless liner notes and no personnel listing) can easily be skipped with no great loss.
