Yeliz Trio - Moon Palace (2020)

Born from the meeting of pianist Mathieu Bélis, cellist Nicolas Carpentier and percussionist Thomas Ostrowiecki, the group Yeliz Trio takes us to the crossroads of urban, classical and oriental music, influenced by artists such as the EST trio, Chick Corea, Anouar Brahem but also by composers such as Ravel, Bartok and even Shostakovich.
From this heritage was born a singular sound: impressionist harmonies and melismatic language of the piano, lyrical or rough sounds of the cello, trance and asymmetrical rhythms of the dafs and other percussions.
Oscillating between light and shadow, full of lyricism and always turned towards rhythm and collective energy, the music of the Trio immerses the listener in a powerful and poetic sound universe.
