The Dave Clark Five was an English pop rock band in Tottenham in 1957. The single of them "Happy All Over" beat The Beatles' "I Want to Hold Your Hand" off the top of the UK Singles Chart in January 1964. The song reached sixth place in the US in April 1964. "Over And Over" peaked in the United States for the December 1965 group.

They were the second group in the British wave to play at The Ed Sullivan Show, where they were in March, two weeks after The Beatles had played there three weeks in a row in February 1964. For a while, Dave Clark was Five more popular in the United States than in their home country, though they experienced a renaissance in the UK between 1967 and 1970. The group was dissolved late in 1970. On March 10, 2008, the group was included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
