Since playing stand-up bass during his high school years, Buddy Miller has had an amazing career. Hes played guitar with the likes of Linda Ronstadt, Emmylou Harris, Steve Earle and Lucinda Williams. He has produced Solomon Burke, Jimmie Dale Gilmore and Allison Moorer. Hes also had songs covered by The Dixie Chicks, Lee Ann Womack, Brooks & Dunn, John Mayall and The Dixie Hummingbirds. Buddy also has many admirers, especially among musicians. Steve Earle calls him "the greatest country singer alive." Robbie Fulks praises him as the "the badassest country-roots guy going" while Shawn Colvin says simply, "Theres absolutely no one like Buddy anywhere."
