The big band series with analog discs was also delivered Vol.3. We also thank everyone for the cooperation of stereo sound Co., Ltd. for this time and for realizing the release.
In Vol.1, 2, we recorded standard songs of Big Band Jazz, but this time we changed the taste to 60's, 70's movies, TV soundtrack and pure BIG BAND JAZZ half I tried selecting music.
The aim of this series is to make the famous old songs of the long history Big Band Jazz to revive the modern era with sounds making full use of the presently-considered equipment. Especially the soundtrack of the 60's, 70's movies, TV, I am afraid of private affairs, but with my emphasis on how I can get to the present day with only memorable songs of my youth.
The original of "The theme of Spy Mission Strategy" started with the tape recorder "Good Morning Phelps" directive (Ohira Toru) broadcasted since 1967 is only 50 seconds of title back, while following the original goodness I asked Kenichi Tsunoda about the arrangement that I heard and it got full size.
"What's Going On" is one song in the album of Quincy Jones "Smackwater Jack" which was released in 1971, but this album also wears down analog records when I was an outspoken engineer There are memories that I listened to so much. Grady · Tate 's drums · sound is excellent, it is an album that became a model for my jazz recording. I think if you can listen "Does the name recording (Phil Ramon) of the past year revive?" Adlib solos of Alto Flute (Nakagawa Shozo), Electric Guitar (Satoshi Inoue), Solo Violin (Saito Neko) are also worth listening.
I think that other songs also have their own thoughts and insistence, but I would like to speak to another opportunity.
Also, in the explanation of Vol. 1, 2, there is a question, a question was asked why the spec of the multi-track recorder (ProTools Var. 2018.4) is 96 kHz 32 bit, why the specification of 2 ch Final Master Recorder is 384 kHz 32 bit Of? Is it not multichannel recording rather than direct 2ch recording? The question to say is that I will explain in detail the insistence as my engineer in the commentary, so I would like to refer to it.
Also this time MIXER'S LAB SOUND SERIES Vol.3 also reduced tracks on each side to avoid the inner circumference. Although it is luxurious and costly, I try to offer sound quality that can be convinced to the audio fans by avoiding problem inner circumference by making two pieces that can be recorded with one piece. Moreover, this record board is a direct press from a metal master. I hope that you will be able to reproduce the vividness of the sound to the limit and enjoy it. -- Producer / Recording & Mixing Engineer Shinji Uchinu
