Formed in 1979 in Bath, U.K. as Neon (19) and then renamed their act to release two albums in 1983 - 1984 produced by Tony Mansfield (with whom Rob Fisher had recorded a single in 1982 as Planet Ha Ha). They were one of the first groups of the second british invasion in the U.S. charts, with their rendition of Bacharach And David classic "Always Something There To Remind Me" (No.8 in U.S. pop chart in 1983 and No.59 in The U.K. pop chart) and then with "Promises Promises" (No.11 in 1983) the 12'' extended John "Jellybean" Benitez mix of which includes Madonna's vocals. Following their success in the U.S. Arthur Baker produced the first single of their second album "(What) In The Name Of Love" (No. 39 in the U.S. pop chart in 1984). After Rob Fisher's death on 25 August 1999, Peter Byrne released a solo alum in 2001 and he reactivated by himself the name Naked Eyes for a further 2007 cover album.
