Laurits Hyllested - Darling River (2020)

'Darling River' is the debut album by the young Danish composer and drummer Laurits Hyllested. It is the result of a long-lasting compositional process that, with improvisation as a founding ideology, has revolved around connecting elements from both rhythmic, classical and electronic music in a personal compositional output. The album creates a space which highlights some of the leading musicians on the contemporary Danish scene, crossing generations, environments and musical backgrounds. The music adds new colours and builds bridges in Danish music.
