A small sleepy place in an American provincial wasteland. The local bar spits smoke out of all the porous façade holes - the heat hits you in the face, you save yourself in the bar on the corner and fall into a night-time maelstrom - the characters seem apathetic, times away. On stage "Sir" Oliver Mally sits and plays the blues that nobody suspects but everyone is looking for. "Sir" Oliver Mally belongs without question to the representatives of the "best blues in Europe" (Concerto).

His rough, convention-free music corresponds to pure extract of the blues essence. The inhalation of this is like absinthe for life. His albums have been internationally reviewed with praise. The "best blues singer in the country" (Samir H. Köck, "Die Presse") is on tour all the time anyway - between Hamburg and Budapest, Graz and Waidhofen an der Thaya, but also at the Himalayan Blues Festival in Nepal. "Amadeus" nominations and thirteen category trophies in the critics' poll of "Concerto" magazine have no place in his luggage, but his instrument is indispensable. "He still plays his guitar himself, he sings with devotion, heart and soul, he feels himself", summarized the "Oberösterreichische Nachrichten". A "bluesesquer" stroke of genius in person, that's Oliver Mally.

Hubert Hofherr, born in Lower Bavaria, discovered his love for Chicago blues at a very early age. In addition to his music studies, he played in his first bands at an early age and released several records. After emigrating to the USA, he toured the USA with well-known blues musicians such as Buster Benton, J. W. Williams, Merle Perkins and founded his own band there until his return to Germany. Hubert Hofherr is on concert tours at home and abroad with his band "Hubert Hofherr & The Bottom Line", founded in 1996, as well as with "The Ramblers", Albert C. Humphrey and the Roots of Blues, the Ron Evans Group, the Hamburg blues singer and guitarist Abi Wallenstein and the Electric Blues Duo (Colin Hodgkinson and Frank Diez) and Mano Maniak, among others.

And finally the two found each other "live" four years ago. A colourful programme is presented, consisting mainly of original compositions peppered with exquisite covers, which the musicians undoubtedly put their own stamp on. Goose-pimples at some songs with a blue note are guaranteed.
