Fans of TECHNOLORGY’s 2015 album “Dying Stars” rejoice – for while 3 years hence the stardust may surely be beginning to settle, this dazzling display of synthpop and dark electro goes not gently into that good night just yet…
For on March 23rd, a month short of the 3rd anniversary of the original release, “Dying Stars” returns – in superlative double disc and dual digital editions!
Technically the Greek duo’s second album, it was in fact not actually until this their seminal sophomore effort that they had actually written an album “by design” – the debut having been assembled from material written over a protracted period. “Dying Stars” demonstrated with far greater clarity what TECHNOLORGY could do with the blank canvas of a full-length release, and what their unique musical “voice” might be.
Over the course of the subsequent 3 years, “Dying Stars” spawned no fewer than 4 stellar singles – all of which now long since deleted from all digital distribution channels bar Bandcamp – filled with original extra tracks, remixes and reworked versions from the band themselves.
As of today, complemented by a couple of completely new and previously unreleased remixes by CHAINREACTOR and CYFERDYNE, each and every one of those “lost tracks” is now restored to Spotify, iTunes et al – split between the reformatted “Dying Stars Extended” and “Dying Stars Recreated” digital releases.
And as of March 23rd, the same 27 tracks come out as a collector’s edition 2CD “Dying Stars Resurrected” - complete with 12-panel foldout poster booklet featuring all the lyrics (including those of the 3 extra original songs) and presenting for the first time in print album designer Vlad McNeally’s artwork for all the singles.
