Thiago Pethit - Mal dos Trópicos (Queda e Ascensão de Orfeu da Consolação) (2019)

In his fourth album, 'Mal dos Tropicos', Thiago Pethit sings about the absence of love and hope in a mythological São Paulo, where real places, such as Praça da República and the Copan Building, saw scenarios for Pethit to recreate the myth of Orpheus. . With the subtitle 'Fall and Ascension of Orpheus of Consolation', the album reimagines the Greek hero, singer and poet as an urban character. Returning from his season in hell, he comes across a mourning country in the middle of Carnival, confronts his demons on the streets of the Republic and has his heart devoured by Bacchantes in Consolation bars.
