A beautiful collection of Russian works by Cluytens. An excellent recording board that reproduces precious sound sources with high sound quality, drawn with two orchestras.

A rare collection of Russian small original EMI masterpieces by Cluytens. Three songs recorded in 1958 with the Philharmonia Orchestra and four songs with the Paris Conservatory Orchestra recorded the following year were coupled. It is an excellent recording board with excellent sound quality in spite of the initial stereo. For this reprint, a new mastering was performed separately for the SACD layer and the CD layer using a 96kHz / 24bit digital master from the home country master. It is a permanent storage board. There are many Russian music sources by Cluytens since the monaural era. Around the 1960s, many small pieces of Russian music were released by Anselmé, Montau, and Solti. Cluytens also recorded four of the songs on this album in 1949, suggesting his excellence (from "Igor", "Kumabee" is the only recording). Cluytens' Russian music can be interpreted in a more advanced way, taking full advantage of the original sense of rhythm and outstanding color sense. Music that is full of dynamism by emphasizing expressions that have been developed without being neat and simple is another aspect of Cluytens. These performances are considered to be more appreciated and appropriate. In this reprint, I combined three songs with the Philharmonia tube in the first half, which is a sound recording that was fulfilling in sound quality, and a song recorded in stereo with the Paris Conservatory tube recorded in Paris the following year. Because the recording engineers are the same, the album has the same trend, but the recording locations and orchestras are significantly different. The recording condition is very good, and it is an excellent recording that conveys the sound of the orchestra at that time and the clarity of the cruitance.
