Shuky & Aviva - Best Of Shuky & Aviva (2002)

Shuky & Aviva mainly recorded records in French. Between 1972 and 1978 appeared over 15 singles, which Levi had partly written himself. From her biggest hit Signorina concertina in 1972 a total of around two million copies have been sold. This song they presented in a German version in 1973 also in the ZDF hit parade. Shuky & Aviva peaked in 1975 and 1976 when they received Bye bye a bientôt (1975), Je t'aime un peu trop, Fête l'amour, the French version of the Eagles hit Hotel California and Viens que je t'embrasse (1976) managed a series of big hits. In addition, the duo also released several songs in German and English. Overall, Shuky & Aviva sold around one and a half million singles and 100,000 albums in France.

In Germany, Shuky & Aviva were first and foremost known for participating in the preliminary decision for the 1975 Eurovision Song Contest. You and me and two dreams, written by Rainer Maria Ehrhardt and Jean Frankfurter, achieved a sixth place with the starting number 15. In March of the same year Shuky & Aviva appeared with this title in the ZDF hit parade. There followed another gig in August with luckily there is music.

After the duo split in 1978, Aviva began under her first name a solo career, which began in France with Singles Quizas (1978) and Sois pas jaloux and Hey Boy (1979). Later she published more plates in Hebrew in Israel.

Levy, who was married to actress Deborah Shelton for several years from 1977, remained as a composer and producer in the music business. The IMDB lists him with compositions for over 100 films and series. Above all, in the genre of animation Levy has made a name, among other things, the music goes to He-Man, She-Ra and Power Rangers in his account. He has sold around 14 million records and received 15 gold and platinum awards.

In 2002 appeared under the title Best of a collection of 18 songs of the duo and two solo recordings of Aviva. 2012 followed with L'intégrale a 4-CD-strong retrospective of the duo.
