Beneath The Clouds We Dream is a balance of inner reflection and observations of the world around us.

This album came together with a few old friends meeting up after a very long time and started writing music together again. We really were not sure where we were going with it at the time. We had the music written but no vocals.

Once we found Arnab Sengupta we presented him with a big challenge. We sent him The Absence of Memory's Glow and were blown away. It was an incredible boost for us, giving us a direction to go in.

Perfect Era was brought to life and Beneath the Clouds We Dream was born.

The cd begins with A Different Time. A haunting melody entwined with tribal like drums. A short passage reminiscent of an ancestral dirge.

The Absence of Memory’s Glow opens a door into the abscesses of the mind. A tragic illness that leaves a man desperate for understanding. Lyrics that tell a story of enduring strength and determination. Constantly wondering if things will ever be normal again. Living a life slowly suffering in silence.

From soaring vocals within catchy phrasing, to a mounting solo section, TAOMG sends the listener on a journey of complex, yet melodic musicality.

No Need To Explain is a slower tempo piano/acoustic guitar composition that delves into the darker side of human interaction both predicated on social misunderstandings and the disparities of selfishness. Inspired by the stylings of one of our favorite bands, prog metal masters Fates Warning.

Clandestine Worlds harkens to a prog rock sound from the 70s full of dramatic keyboards and commanding guitar riffs and drumbeats. It describes the audacious mindset of today’s society and the decline of civilization’s foundational pediments. All brought to a climax full of space inspired imagery.

The Skyline Dream is a longer passage containing riffs and beats reminiscent of the power trio Rush. It describes our determination as humans to always push the envelope and the impulse to constantly design, build and destroy only to rebuild once again. Hoping that future generations will benefit from our desire to escalate our dreams ever higher while standing concrete in our convictions. However foolish and antagonistic they seem.

Track 6 was written last for the album. We felt we needed a slow and moody song to balance out the compositions. Wanting to give our singer a chance show off his ability to really express his feelings in a song, Lost Again was born. It was inspired by listening to an old favorite metal band, Crimson Glory.

The cd comes to a conclusion with our longest song Tides Rush In. Another 70s inspired prog track with undertones of modern prog metal and hints of Rush and Pink Floyd. The solo section is complete with a haunting spoken word progression. The song ends with a beautiful lyrical harmony.
