Jules Knight's first solo album Change of Heart is a ‘must’ for anyone with an all-embracing passion for music.

Produced by top producer Andrew Powell and recorded live largely at Peter Gabriel’s state-of-the-art Real World Studios near Bath, Change of Heart features Jules backed by a ‘supergroup’ of some of the finest musicians in the business. Among them are guitarist Tim Renwick, who’s performed with Pink Floyd, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Mike Oldfield; guitarist and vocalist David Paton (Elton John, Pilot, Camel, Alan Parsons Project), drummer Stuart Elliott (Cockney Rebel, Alan Parsons Project, Paul McCartney, Kenny Rogers, Chris Rea) and keyboard player Andrew Powell (Kate Bush, Al Stewart, John Miles, Mick Fleetwood, Cockney Rebel, Alan Parsons Project). The album encompasses a broad sound-world, from acoustic guitars to a violin solo by the leader of the London Symphony Orchestra and a distinguished backing orchestra providing playing of the highest calibre. The result is a creative collaboration of top musical talents – and, for Jules Knight, a highly personal project that’s straight from the heart.

The repertoire of songs that Jules has chosen couldn’t be more wide-ranging – from Rodgers and Hart's My Funny Valentine to Randy Newman’s Feels Like Home. Then there’s Gary Barlow and Tim Rice’s It’s Only Life, Billy Joel’s And So It Goes and If by Bread frontman David Gates.

Big numbers from top musicals also provide undeniable impact: Tell Me It’s Not True from Blood Brothers makes for a dramatic moment, as does the remarkable Empty Chairs at Empty Tables from Les Misérables. Jules has even turned his hand to song-writing with his work on the tracks Refuge and Fall from Grace. It’s particularly touching that he’s recorded Peter Gabriel's composition Father, Son in Gabriel's own studio. The fact that this song was sung at Jules's own father's funeral only adds to the poignancy.

But, for all their diversity, these tracks have one thing in common.......they’re poignant, emotive, unforgettable songs. Change of Heart is released by Infinity Music, the record label founded by acclaimed composer and TV and film producer and distributor Adrian Munsey. Julian “Jules” Knight is an English actor and singer. He is best known for being a member of the British vocal group Blake and his portrayal of Harry Tressler (aka Dr Love) in the medical drama Holby City.
