Supposedly recorded live at the Tivoli Theater in Chicago, this album sounds suspiciously like studio recordings with lots of applause and screaming added, the whole suffering from inferior sound due to the overdubbing. The Chuck Berry hits are better heard in their original studio versions.

I just saw a documentary about Chuck Berry. Marshal Chess (son of label founder Leonard Chess) admitted, that these are studio recordings with added applause. The album was released when Chuck Berry faced a jail sentence and the label wanted to show that he's still around (and make some money).
