James Wells - Disco Recharge: My Claim To Fame & Explosion [2CD Remastered] (2014)

Digitally remastered two CD set containing a pair of albums from the Disco artist. James Wells first came to people's attention via Ian Levine who discovered him when he filling in as lead singer for the group 100% Pure Poison on a UK date. From the first second he heard James's over-the-top vocals, Levine knew that he had to record him. Levine then brought James to London to record his debut album My Claim to Fame. Rick Gianatos, the famous Chicago DJ, got involved and the album was released in the U.S. on the A.V.I. label. This package contains both of James Well's original A.V.I. albums, all of his U.K. Polydor single releases including 'Baby I'm Still the Same Man', 'All I Ever Need Is Music' and the original version of 'Never Let Go' - the song which and is packed to the brim with virtually everything he recorded prior to his untimely death in 1990. Both Rick Gianatos and Simon White have provided extensive sleeve notes. Quite simply this is the most comprehensive James Wells package ever available.
