Mosaic Select was a series of 3 CD compilations, sometimes combining complete albums with unissued material or occasionally straight reissues of the original LPs. There were 38 volumes in all, with three individual CDs packaged in a cardboard sleeve. The first twenty releases in this series were numbered on the outer sleeve, while the remaining 18 volumes were designated as a limited edition of 5,000 copies. The original liner notes were used from the original albums and sometimes included updated information as well.
