Leszek Możdżer - Ikar. Legenda Mietka Kosza (2019)

In "Ikar. Legend of Mietek Kosz" the music is a full-fledged hero. Leszek Możdżer was responsible for her. - We had to somehow show that this guy just sweeps so that the viewer has no doubt what hero he is dealing with - says the composer, awarded for his work on the film by Maciej Pieprzyca at the Polish Film Festival in Gdynia.

As Możdżer admits, he was surprised then that there was so little music to listen to. It was only during the preparation for "Ikara" that he understood that the Basket "was a kind of comet, which flashed a bright, short light and immediately disappeared." The blind jazzman was only 29 years old when he died tragically on May 31, 1973. He fell out of the room window on the third floor, in a building at ul. Piękna in Warsaw. Or maybe he jumped out? It is not known, there are no witnesses and nobody was close enough with him at that time to clearly state whether the pianist was planning a suicide.
