Juhani Aaltonen ja Sointi Jazz Orchestra - Saarnaaja (2019)

18-piece Sointi Jazz Orchestra and legendary saxophonist-flutist Juhani “Junnu” Aaltonen celebrate the new Preacher album, to be released in the fall, on three tours. The album, released by Nova Records, includes a five-piece Preacher composed by Rasmus Soin, the artistic director of the band. "Big band concert" and "long dialogue between Junn and the orchestra". The melodic and meandering work draws inspiration from different styles of rhythm music as well as classical music and has been composed for the Sointi Jazz Orchestra and Junnu. In addition to the preacher, excerpts from the band's diverse program will be heard at the concert.
