San Francisco Bay Area based vocalist, Cynthia Bythell, is a truly vibrant and engaging performer well-known for her appearances in the area’s most prestigious nightclubs. In fact, Cynthia received top votes for nomination as “Outstanding Female Nightclub Vocalist” and “Outstanding Piano Entertainer” by the San Francisco Council on Entertainment. The press has raved about Bythell’s talent, range, and personality. Indeed, Cynthia brings an innovative approach to vocals, treating her voice as an instrument to fully express her personality which serves to reflect the thoughtful and often playful attitude of her material. Jazz audiences have even compared her singing to the earlier vocals of the late great Ella Fitzgerald!

Inspired by her life of music, personal growth, and healing, published songwriter/vocalist/pianist Cynthia Bythell is currently recording her first all original album focused on delivering deep inspirational ideas through her multi-faceted originals. Ms. Bythell has received numerous awards from the Music City Song Festival National Vocal Competition and National Lyric Competition, placed among the top ten in the Billboard Songwriting Contest, and the Northern California Songwriters’ Association gave her “Best Song” and “Best Performance.” San Francisco’s press raved about her original tune, “The Wish Planet”, claiming it “defies categorization”. And, the first song she ever wrote, “Time Can Do Magic”, was recorded and released by the nationally acclaimed Spinners on their Down to Business CD.

Now, with six albums, published songs, numerous national and local awards and decades of professional experience to her credit, Cynthia Bythell continues to perform throughout the Bay Area and beyond.
