Bathed in music from an early age, Laurent Damont studied piano and drums. In 2004, realizing the existence of a real passion for the piano, he decided to take lessons in classical piano with Pascal Némirovski, professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London.

A year later, his meeting with Robin Notte, pianist of Panam Panic, influenced him enormously and led him to lean ardently towards the study of jazz piano. It is from 2007 that he has his first group experiences since he initiated the creation of the jazz funk Quintet "Zicomatic" and also plays alongside the rapper and writer Gaël Faye in the group of Hip-hop " Milk Coffee & Sugar. In June 2009, he recorded their first album at Davout Studios.

In 2011, he joined the CMDL (Music Center Didier Lockwood) and created his first Quartet with which he released his first album "INSIDE". A first opus reflecting his musical universe, between Jazz, Pop and Hip-Hop. Three guests participate in this project: saxophonist Max Pinto, guitarist Romain Pilon and singer Raphaële Atlan.

In 2013, he made his theater debut in the show "Frous-Frous, cabarets of good femme fatales". A comic, modern and rock'n'roll cabaret that will tour in France and Switzerland until April 2016.

In 2018, he joined the pop group "Lucien and the kimono orchestra" with which he regularly toured in France ("Calvi on the rock", "Very cool festival" in Deauville, "New Morning") and abroad ( Dublin, London) At the same time, Laurent Damont launches his second quartet with new compositions. In this new project he chooses to trade his bass / drums for a Cello (Guillaume Latil) and a percussionist singer (Natascha Rogers). The trumpet is replaced by Maxime Berton who alternates between Soprano Saxophone and Bass Clarinet. After many concerts all over France, he recorded 10 tracks that will be released in September 2019 under his own label "Laurent Damont Records".
