Originally released in May 1976, Doctor Chop is one of the last albums from the glory days of the Australian progressive psych scene. This remastered reissue comes with a total of nine bonus tracks: eight previously unreleased live tracks that offers an effective insight into the live prowess of this once magnificent band.
The ninth is a genuine Company Caine rarity of great historical significance - the rare 1975 single by The Record Bandits, "They’re Closing Down The Import Shops", a project headed by renowned import record shop impresarios Keith Glass and David ‘Dr. Pepper’ Pepperell that utilised Company Caine as (anonymous) studio backing musicians.
