J.A.M. Trio & Jose Alberto Medina - In My Mind (2007)

Jose Alberto Medina (Las Palmas de G.C., 1979), is a young but trained pianist who fronts his own band and writes the core of his repertory. He leads and carries the melodic parts along with constant communication. As his previous work (First Portrait FSNT-190); In My Mind follows the same good ideas exposition in a well-defined and centered sound identity. Medina shows a wise left hand and a delicate right one that remind us of an intimate Brad Mehldau, who may influenced him to the simple tune ends.
