Imani Uzuri - The Gypsy Diaries (2012) FLAC

Comparisons aside, there are only so many female vocalists that have the ability to tap into the deepest and most revered place where music and soul unite. From my impressions of "The Gypsy Diaries", North Carolina-born and Berlin-based Imani Uzuri is such a talent. Uzuri is blessed with a naturalness and spirituality to her voice that sends chills up one's spine. The Gypsy Diaries is simply unforgettable listening and already has "classic" written all over it. If spiritual jazz is your thing, Imani Uzuri has an offering that will leave you breathless and transfixed. I can't get the song 'You Are So Beautiful" out of my head, it's become a mantra. Much more can be written about "The Gypsy Diaries" and surely will, be aware that this is a legend in the making.
