After completing his musical studies at the Geneva Conservatoire, notably in the Seggue class of Pierre Segond, Daniel Meylan continued his training with research on ornamentation, ancient fingerings; but also on the rhetoric and the expressive constants of the Baroque repertoire.

President of the Association of French-speaking organists for more than 20 years, he is, as of 2015 and on mandate of the Federal Office of Culture, consulted as an expert during the restoration of historical dorgues.

Daniel Meylan has recorded for the companies Cascavelle and Hortus several records acclaimed by the Swiss and international critics. He gives many concerts in his country, as well as abroad. In addition, he performed in 21 recitals the complete organ work of J.S. Bach, in tribute to Albert Schweitzer.
His activity as a choir director allows him to address several outstanding works from the vocal repertoire (Passion according to Saint John, Magnificat and Oratorio by Bach, Messiah by Handel, Requiem by Mozart).
In November 2016, Daniel Meylan received the Artistic Merit Award from the City of Nyon.
