Katie Ray is a country artist with powerhouse vocals and an uncanny ability to tell a story through songs. “Rings & Guitars” tells the stories of Katie Ray’s journey in life, love, and music. Tracks such as “Midnight Whiskey” and “Rings and Guitars” tell heart-breaking tales with musical elements of traditional country. “Don’t Follow” and “The Way You Look At Me” depict the kind of relationships that listeners of all ages can relate to.\ Then there’s “Beer Drinker,” which is a good ol’ country song with instruments that will make you want to dance. They all tie together to create the image of Katie Ray: Emotional, passionate, and very sassy.

The EP was created with the help of so many talented people. David Johnson’s electric guitar is a driving force of the entire album. Wil Houchens’ piano perfectly portrays every emotion contained in the lyrics. Spenser Ward’s drums elevate these songs to an entirely new level. Mike Johnson & Mike Cleveland on steel guitar and fiddle give these tracks the country vibe that made Katie Ray fall in love with the genre. The producers, David Johnson and Alex Maxwell, executed Katie Ray’s vision perfectly for this album. None of this would be possible without these amazing musicians.
