This project from Dany Janvier is a tribute to the roots and ramifications of the world’s peoples, an initial path through different cultures and all that unites them beyond borders and oceans. The result is a synthesis of nature sounds, mysterious electronica and native world beat, sprinkled with Baroque music and elements of chill-out electronica. Janvier's composed world is luminous, festive and full of good humour. The title Ôbômkôntek means "Camp of White Sand Point" in the Abenaqi language and is the old name of the village of Pointe-du-Lac in Québec where the album was composed.
