Cracow Wind Quintet - Łukaszewski, Milhaud & Others: Chamber Works (2019)

The Cracow Wind Quintet perform a programme of works by Zemlinksy, Gorecki, Lukaszewski, Malawski, Debski and Milhaud.

The artists on this album have performed at almost all prestigious music festivals in Poland and have been met with an enthusiastic reception by the audience and to great critical acclaim. Each of them is a laureate of a number of music competitions. They met while working with the Krakow chamber orchestra Capella Cracoviensis.

They have many chamber concerts with a varied repertoire under their belt, from Baroque to contemporary music. The CD of The Krakow Brass Quintet is a review of the ambitious contemporary repertoire of the ensemble, where classical positions co-exist well with Polish chamber music, often - as in the case of Burlesque by Gorecki or Lukaszewski’s quartet - dedicated to the musicians participating in the recording.
