Producer and visual artist Tom Cochien's KöSHRiMP project is one of the most interesting acts to rise out from the electronic scene in recent years releasing prior albums on Dream Catalogue and Adhesive Sounds where KöSHRiMP takes a crowbar to industrial, IDM and many other genres and merges them together in a unique and kinetic style.
In KöSHRiMP's artwork, he depicts surrealism, often terrifying, chaotic and psychedelic depictions of everyday life, and is channeled into his music with a gritty, lo-fi master, sounding like a cassette tape you'd find in the future ruins of a once glistening metropolis, recalling the pumping of life throughout the streets.
In MACROBiOTOPiA, possibly his most fleshed out work to date; KöSHRiMP focuses on a more natural outlook with a focus on the chaos and serenity of the animal kingdom with tense, noise-filled moments to beautiful, lo-fi ambience that blossoms up into a beautiful soundscape, birthing a new, colorful and psychedelic work of nature.
