Hendrickson Road House - Hendrickson Road House (Reissue) (1969-70/2011)

The only album of the American folk-rock band, released in 1970. A rare light psychedelia. One of the few bands in the genre in which the main creative force was a woman, Sue Akins. The band had their own sound - soft jazz arrangements, exquisite solo guitar, a little car, and gentle vocals - definitely, they should be listened to at night. In the manner of playing the guitar there is a certain influence of "west coast", although there is not a heavy one in sight. The only jazz instrumental with a predominance of the saxophone does not at all seem out of place. All other songs are sung by Akins, and the album has a rare integrity for the genre. Not a masterpiece, but very good. It's amazing that the album of this quality and rarity is not reprinted.
