For this first solo disc, you have put together a singular programme, clearly reflecting your personality through works by two major figures of modernity at the beginning of the 20th century: Sergey Prokofiev and Maurice Ravel. What do they represent for you? These pieces bring together in music my cultural backgrounds and combine my origins. I come from a Russian family, and that is the language we speak at home, but I was born in France. My origins are part of what I am for it is the music on which I was nurtured and which I have loved since childhood. I also find it particularly accessible due to its modernity: Ravel and Prokofiev were very strongly rooted in their era and still resonate with ours even though they are little more than one hundred years old.
