PeeWee Bluesgang - 40 Bluesful Years (2019)

On the occasion of their 40th anniversary, the PEE WEE BLUESGANG feat. RICHARD HAGEL & THOMAS HESSE a new live album (Dortmund 2017). '40 Bluesful Years' will be released as a CD in three-part digifile format and as a vinyl edition on SIREENA. At the end of the seventies, guitarist THOMAS HESSE and later ZOFF singer REINER HÄNSCH launched the cover band PEE WEE BLUESGANG as one of the leading blues rock formations of German provenance. Originally still on classic role models like B.B. KING, MUDDY WATERS, but also blues innovators such as JIMI HENDRIX and ERIC CLAPTON oriented, developed the formation early on their characteristic, characterized mainly by their own song material group sound. So the Iserlohner band, which made a brilliant comeback in 2012 after a short, interim break with their studio album'Boudoir De Luxe', released nineteen highly acclaimed longplayers. In addition, the PWB completed countless appearances in Germany and abroad (including her 81st WDR Rockpalast gig) as well as touring together with CANNED HEAT, CHICKEN SHACK, JACK BRUCE or the STRAY CATS. With the release of '40 Bluesful Years' the blues-rock-institution celebrates their band-anniversary and proves their impressing stage-qualities. Recorded on 29.12.2017 at the Rocktheater Piano in Dortmund, the band around front man RICHARD HAGEL turned up in a playful form and presented alongside classic bandics like 'Make My Day','California','Too Much Soul' and'Tikki Bar Is Open 'also selected cover versions like' Going Down '(DON NIX),'Every Day I Have The Blues' (BB KING) or the seventeen-minute'Hey Joe' (BILLY ROBERTS JR.), In which THOMAS HESSE excelled in string terms.
