Lyndol Descant is a musical artist focusing on healing, unique, and truly creative music. As a performing singer, pianist and composer, her goal is to leave her listeners in a better state of mind. Based in Brooklyn, NYC, she is originally from Houston, Texas.
Active in the local live music scene, she loves musical improvisation and often plays with world class Jazz Musicians, such as Ran Livneh who played Stand up Bass and Uri Zelig who played bass on this Live Album.Colin Hua is an up and coming Producer who plays guitar on 2 tracks, one of which he produced for her All Love album.
Though very jazz influenced, including 4 years study in Paris, France of jazz composition, her songs and her style are cross genre. She is strongly influenced, for example, by blue grass in her vocals, pop in it's ease and appeal, rock for it's power and drive, and funk for the rhythm.
Honestly, and transparency are important, as she hopes to inspire others in their creativity, so the nature of this album is unedited, though mixed from 10 different channels of room Mics by Casey Holford.
Many of her songs come from poems she writes in a fit of emotion, then sets to music. She also composes on spec, including instrumentals, for TV, film, youtubers and Podcasts.
