Biography
One of Europe's leading reggae acts, Italian band Mellow Mood was formed in Pordenone (Italy) in 2005. Their collaboration with producer Paolo Baldini DubFiles dates back to 2009 when they released their first album "Move!". The single Dance Inna Babylon - Remastered gained them worldwide recognition.
Mellow Mood were signed by Italy's most important independent label La Tempesta in 2012 for the release of their second album Well Well Well (Heart Over Mind Over Matter).
In 2014 and 2015 Mellow Mood released twin albums Twinz and 2 the World, which brought them on tour all over Europe, Latin America and the United States.
After a short hiatus, the band announced that they would release new material in 2018. Released via La Tempesta Dub in April, Large sees the five-piece veer away from a fashionable tropical house influence by introducing a contemporary reggae roots style. By focusing on candid, heartfelt lyricism and heavyweight rhythms the album captures the impeccable live sound and raw human emotion that Mellow Mood have become known for around the world. Paolo Baldini’s dub take on the album, Large Dub, is then released at the end of 2018.
