A Jigsaw - Letters from the Boatman (2007)

The French magazine Les Inrockuptibles stated in 2012 that the Jigsaw were a band to follow. In 2014, the specialized magazine that puts them next to names like Tom Waits and Leonard Cohen, returns to warn so that this duo conimbricense is not lost of sight. And the case is no less: three years after the release of his latest studio work, multi-instrumentalists Jorri and João Rui finally reveal their new album "NO TRUE MAGIC" this fall. The roots continue to be the Folk, the Blues, literature and a concept: "immortality". After the "loss of innocence" and the "construction of identity," the Jigsaw now tell us about the acceptance of the terms of our mortality. And there's also a feminine side to this album: North American Carla Torgerson (The Walkabouts, Tindersticks) who delivers her voice in the duet "Black Jeweled Moon."
