Beverly Jayne - Back To Love (2019)

Beverly Jayne began writing songs and playing guitar at the young age of 14. After finishing school and following a stint living in the USA for a year, she returned to South Africa and joined the band Concussion Girl, most noted for the single “Tie me up” which received high rotation airplay on 5fm and was featured in the movie ‘Slash’ released globally. Following two studio album recordings with the band and establishing a notable on-stage presence, Beverley Jayne performed at recognised festivals such as Oppikoppi and Woodstock and featured as the opening act for prominent South African band Mango Groove at the Big Top Arena. During this time Beverly Jayne released her debut solo album “Walk Away”.

A selection of singles, from her debut album, received airplay on 33 radio stations across South Africa and featured in shows on SA TV such as Isidingo and Sober Companion and obtained extensive airplay in countries such as the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, UK, Netherlands and Italy.

Following this success it was inevitable that a second solo album was to follow!

Beverly Jayne is currently in studio recording her much anticipated second solo album due for release later this year.

Subsequent to the single “Breathe“, released last year, “Champion” is the second song to be included on the new album. The track, written by Beverly Jayne, “is very close to my heart as it is about surviving and overcoming a very traumatic experience” she explains. Recording the track was an emotional and ultimately extremely empowering experience which is what she hopes the listeners will experience when hearing it. “Champion” was recorded with SAMA award winning producer Paul McIver at his studio in Bryanston.
