Antonio Vivaldi being a celibate priest (truly, it is said), yet had a strong love for the young virtuoso Anna Maria, possibly his finest pupil. The music he wrote for her is among the finest he produced, and this recording presents these concertos with all the devotion and refinement they deserve.
