Like velvet underwear, The Bottle Collector's Lounge is smooth. With songs like "King Louis" and "Esquire Lounge," The Dino Martinis remember their Las Vegan roots, but they also strike out with everything from jump blues to gospel. The CD's production quality is also quite astounding.

The vocals are something else, with almost everyone in the band taking a turn singing lead. Sadly, Tiny, the world's tallest free-standing bass player, blasts out on only one tune ("Liquor Store"), but like a good night out, you remember it in the morning. Babs, the lead singer, has an amazing voice of clarity, range, and power. Johnny Rockett also has his share of exposure; "Yours Truly" exhibits his lamé stylings and crooning ability. Sammy, the sax player, even gets to do a duet with Babs. They all have good voices; the musicianship by the remaining two members (The Kid and Monterey Jack) is strong as well.

If you like to dance, you like good songs you can listen to over and over again, and you also enjoy variety, consider becoming a bottle collector.
