-Another Norwegian fusion group with a sound similar to ECM jazz. Graf and Blix from the first line-up also played in Moose Loose. City Lips (1975) was a technically competent album, but overshadowed by the best in this genre due to a lack of its own personality. There are hundreds of albums of this standard and there is no reason to chose this recording above the others.
Black And White (1976) was a more adventurous effort, closer to jazz than rock, with even longer tracks showcasing some really decent solo improvisations from Undseth and Holm.
-"City Lips" was released by Polygram in 1975, two years after it was recorded. As one of the very first Jazz/Rock bands in Scandinavia they played frequently in Club 7 Oslo and similar clubs. This album is with the 1973-1976 version of the band with Knut Vaernes (guitar) Jan Erik Pedersen (bass) and Frank Aleksandersen (drums). Additional musicians at the time were: Brynjulf Blix and Haakon Graf on keyboards.
"Black and White" (1976, Compendium records) was the third version of the group. After a break Frode Holm joined up again and the new rhythm section with Harald Salater ,bass and Thorsten Dulsrud on drums made this band one of the most exciting bands in the Scandinavian jazz/rock scene.
