Guilherme Pimenta is part of a rare generation of violin players that have been bringing their instrument into unsual contexts such as Choro, Samba and Forró and mixing these genres with Jazz. Born in Minas Gerais- Brazil, this young violinist and composer studied music, classical violin and improvisation at prestigious music schools in Brazil and in the United States (undergraduated at UFMG- Brazil; master of music at University of New Mexico-EUA). He has been on stage playing everything from Brazilian music, to Jazz and Classical in countries such as Belgium, Brazil, United States and Switzerland. Guilherme Pimenta is now living in Rio de Janeiro, where he is giving weekly concerts and recording with several groups and musicians of different styles. He is currently playing with his projects: Papagaio Sabido (album "Revoada" released in 2017), Pimenta Jazz Trio (webserie "Levando Som" released in 2018) and Guilherme Pimenta Quartet (EP "Violino na Roda" released in 2018).

Guilherme Pimenta fait partie d’une rare génération de violonistes qui ont sorti l'instrument de l’univers "classique" pour l'utiliser dans le contexte du Forró, du Choro, et de le Samba. Il est né à Minas Gerais- Brésil et, aprés une formation de violoniste classique dans son pays, a obtenu son master en musique aux États Unis. Il a joué avec différentes formations et artistes au Brésil, aux États Unis et en Europe. Aujourd'hui il habite à Rio de Janeiro où il fait des concerts et enregistrements avec beaucoup de groupes et artistes de styles différents. Il se consacre principalement aux projets: Papagaio Sabido (album "Revoada"sorti en 2018), Pimenta Jazz Trio (webserie "Levando Som"sorti en 2018) et Guilherme PImenta Quarteto (EP "Violino na Roda" sorti en 2018).
