Fenne Lily - Live at Festival No.6 (2019)

Fenne Lily has announced she will release a very special live EP on 24th May. The 6-track EP was recorded during the summer of 2018 at Festival No. 6. Following in the footsteps of previous artists including Daughter, Everything Everything, Richard Hawley, and more, Fenne Lily was handpicked from the entire festival lineup and selected to work with the festival’s composer in residence Joe Duddell and the No. 6 Ensemble

In the months leading up to the festival, Joe Duddell arranged 6 songs from Fenne’s acclaimed debut album On Hold, these were then performed live by Fenne and her touring band along with the No. 6 Ensemble at an intimate show held in Port Meirion’s ornate Town Hall during the festival

Live At Festival No. 6 shines a spotlight on the fragility and heart-on-sleeve honesty of Fenne Lily’s songwriting. The creative instrumentation and emotionally charged arrangements combine to create a breathtaking collection that deserves to be shared beyond the 4 walls of the venue in which the performance originally took place

Speaking about this particular collaboration, Joe Duddell shares: “When I first heard Fenne’s haunting songs and delicate, fragile voice I knew I wanted to collaborate with her. Some artists bare their soul but not all feel comfortable handing over their work to be reimagined for classical ensemble. There was a lot of love and emotion in the room”
