Jackie Venson is a fiery Austin based singer-songwriter-guitarist. She has been described as a soul'd up St Vincent. But she is a force to be reckoned with all on her own.

Joy was produced by Jackie Venson and Chris "Frenchie" Smith, mixed by Tim Palmer and recorded at the famed Bubble Studios in Austin, Texas. Frenchie Smith has a long history of working with some seriously talented rockers, including Jet and The Dandy Warhols among others. Tim Palmer also has his roots deeply in the history of rock, having mixed Pearl Jam's famed album Ten. "Joy" is a song with a message of choice. Jackie is saying that despite her past struggles and hardships, she chooses Joy today. A message that she hopes will resonate with her fans across the globe.
