French-American alto saxophonist Plume's 'Escaping the Dark Side' album is as intense as it is spiritual, driven by an urgency to play and a true sense of groove. Featuring Blue Note recording artist Ambrose Akinmusire on trumpet as special guest on two tracks. A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Plume is a former classmate of Christian Scott, Walter Smith III, Jason Palmer, Warren Wolf and Kendrick Scott, all leading lights of jazz today.
